Impact of the UA System
The University of Alabama System is Alabama’s largest higher education enterprise, comprised of three dynamic institutions striving to provide the people of Alabama with regionally and nationally prominent teaching, research, and service programs with a profound impact on our state.
The University of Alabama System, an institution of higher education created for learning, exists to improve the lives of everyone we affect through the teaching, research and service rendered by our component campuses and health system.
The Mission of The University of Alabama System is based on the principles of careful management of resources, equal access, collaboration, and service.
What We Do
Led by the Chancellor, who serves as the primary reporting channel for the presidents of each institution, The UA System Office facilitates the work of our Board of Trustees, ensures the fiscal integrity of our three campuses, directs legal affairs and audit functions, operates a state-of-the-art information technology infrastructure, initiates Systemwide activities and outreach, and presents a unified public affairs program.
