All users of World Wide Web servers at The University of Alabama System (UA System) shall abide by and comply with all state and federal laws and regulations governing copyrights and trademarks as well as applicable UA System policies. The use of copyrighted material may require the permission of the copyright owner. The absence of a copyright notice or symbol does not mean the item is not copyrighted. Copyrighted works can include, but are not limited to, text, graphics, music, and photographs. Permission to use any UA System copyrighted materials or trademarks for commercial purposes or non-work-related purposes must be approved in writing by a UA System authorized representative.
A user’s privilege to access and use the UA System Web Site is subject to termination if the user violates UA System policies, including those governing computer and computer network use, or is found to be a repeat copyright infringer.
Reporting Possible Copyright Infringements
The UA System is subject to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and has designated an agent to receive notices of alleged copyright infringement from individuals to whom the UA System provides Internet services.
