Senior Vice Chancellor for Communications and Community Relations Kellee Reinhart retired February 1 after 30-plus years of service to The University of Alabama System and will be succeeded by Lynn L. Cole.
Reinhart joined the UA System in 1989 and has been a key member of the leadership team during a period of double-digit growth in the size, scope and reputation of the three UA System campuses and the UAB Health System.
Chancellor Finis St. John called Reinhart a true servant leader. “Kellee’s sound judgment and wise counsel helped our Trustees and senior leadership reach informed decisions and outcomes over the many years of her tenure,” he commented. “Every Trustee, chancellor, and campus leader benefited from her steady judgment.”
In addition to her contributions to the UA System, Reinhart has been involved with numerous charitable organizations serving the arts, education, children and families.
Lynn Cole will join the UA System on March 1, 2021 as Director of Communications. Coming from Markstein, a strategic communications agency based in Birmingham, she built and led their public affairs practice with emphasis on developing integrated communications and marketing campaigns for clients in business, government, education, and the non-profit sector. A summa cum laude graduate of The University of Alabama, she has additional experience in the legal and political arenas.
