The University of Alabama System congratulates Trustee Karen Brooks for her selection as an honoree in YHN Media Group LLC’s 6th Annual Women of Impact Awards. The award celebrates the professional and personal achievements of 20 influential Alabama women who have made a distinguished impact in business, government and nonprofit sectors. Trustee Brooks is well-deserving of this honor as the Vice President and Treasurer of Phifer Inc., long-time member of the University of Alabama System Board of Trustees, and member of various educational and service organizations in her local community. Trustee Brooks has faithfully served the UA System for 19 years, including three years as President pro tempore, and she currently serves as Chair of the Nominating Committee and Vice-chair of the Physical Properties Committee.
